City of Derry Guitar Festival

The Festival offers guitar lovers three days of intense guitar therapy in a relaxed and informal atmosphere. This year’s programme will see Carlos Bonell making a welcome return for the Classical Guitar Course, where he will be teaching alongside Thibault Cauvin and Manus Noble. John Walsh will be offering a full immersion in the culture and sounds of Flamenco, while rock heads can turn their amps up to the sound of the Rory Gallagher Riffs Library electric guitar course. Acoustic guitarists are in for a real treat as the legendary Gordon Giltrap will hold a three days course and a solo performance. And for those who are just starting, this year for the first time we will be offering a Beginners Ukulele Course.

Audiences will also be treated to a series of unique guitar concerts featuring internationally acclaimed artists Carlos Bonell, Manus Noble, Thibault Cauvin, John Walsh, Gordon Giltrap and Sound of Strings Duo.

Applications from guitarists of all standards are welcome.
