Foyle Golf Centre host the first Amelia Earhart two-day open golf competition. In keeping with the magic of the Amelia Earhart story, the prizes for this event will be second to none and it is sure to be the event of the season for both local and visiting golfers alike. Open to all golfers with a valid handicap, the competition may be entered either Saturday or Sunday or both days. Timesheet in operation from 8am, booking essential.
Foyle Golf Centre is located in the lands where Amelia Earhart landed in 1932, becoming the first woman to fly across the Atlantic. Not many people know that Amelia actually landed her plane on what is now the sixth green. An exhibition documenting the Earhart heritage will be on display during 18 – 26 May.
