Over two nights the four amateur companies who have won the Northern Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales, regional finals for the best production of a One-Act play, will compete for the UK’s premier amateur drama award. Each night will feature two of the productions which will be followed at the end of the evening by a brief public adjudication.
On the last night, the winner of the coveted Hugh Walden trophy will be decided by adjudicator Tom Doherty GODA.
5th July, 7.30 pm
Northern Ireland and Scotland will stage their productions
6th July, 7.30pm
England and Wales will stage their productions.
As part of the Festival celebrations there will be a free lunchtime event.
Saturday 6th July, 2pm.
A group of local amateur actors under the direction of Tom Doherty GODA will present a rehearsed reading of the winning script of the UK -wide, original One-Act Play Competition organised under the auspices of the UK Community Drama Festivals Federation.
